At NGC (Ncuk Global Connect), we are committed to providing ncuk students with valuable resources, guides, and personal advisory services. Our platform supports your academic journey by offering opportunities to connect with peers, share experiences, and access expert guidance.  

We know that every student is different, so we make sure to offer support that fits each person’s unique needs. No two students will receive the exact same help from us. We provide many ways for you to use our services while managing your privacy. For example, you can sign up for a free account to access general resources, or you can explore most information about the NCUK program, student life, and expectations without creating an account at all. However, creating an account—whether with a free plan or one of the paid plans—becomes necessary when you want access to things like guides, notes, exam papers, webinars, or personalized advisory services (with “personalized” being key here).

We also guarantee that more services will be offered in the future, extending beyond the NCUK program, such as cost-cutting solutions and support for international student life abroad. What personal details we collect and why we collect it

• User Signup Details: Username, password, first name, last name, email address, and custom field values such as address and gender. These are used to create your account and personalize your experience on the platform. This data also helps us manage user access and provide relevant information. 

• User’s IP Address Information: IP address and browser details. For security purposes and to monitor site performance and user behavior. 

• Opt-in Details: Email, first name, last name. To send newsletters, updates, and other promotional material with your consent. 

• Login/Logout Details: Login timestamps. To monitor account access and enhance security. 

• Social Account Details: Basic social media account information if you use social login options. To facilitate quicker registration and login. 

• Payment Transaction Details: Basic transaction details (payment method, amount). To process membership or service payments. Note: We do not store sensitive payment information like credit/debit card details. 

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: Gravatar Service Privacy Policy: Automattic Privacy Policy Once your comment is approved, your profile picture (if any) is visible to the public next to your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

For registered users, your personal data is stored as long as your account is active. You can view, edit, or delete your profile information at any time, except for your username. Website administrators can also see and edit that information. 

Comments and associated metadata are stored indefinitely to recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically.

YOU choose the information you provide to us, hereby giving you full control over your information, except for required fields needed for account setup. All other fields are optional and help us understand our customers and students better by gathering accurate demographic data. This allows us to serve you more effectively and personalize your experience, including your feed and the services we offer. 

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
